Who I Am
I am Terri Wilkerson, founder and principal of Jones 86 Coaching & Consulting. For more than 15 years, I have led transformative work in both nonprofit and corporate sectors, blending strategy, operational excellence, and people-centered leadership to deliver lasting results.
Why the name Jones 86
Jones 86 is named in honor of my father, Terry Jones, whose resilience, kindness, and strategic mind continue to shape the way I lead organizations today. He passed away when I was twelve, but the lessons he taught me live on in my work.
My father faced significant challenges with mental health and periods of homelessness, yet he never lost his commitment to excellence. He believed in the power of education, strategy, and disciplined thinking (he even tried to teach me chess). His life taught me the value of being a light for others — offering hope, resilience, and compassion in the face of difficulty.
The number 86 is the year of my birth, a symbol of the life experiences that shaped me and the legacy I carry forward. Jones 86 is my promise to uphold those values in every client partnership.
